Does a politician who revived right extremism in his country, who lived a double life, who practiced doubtful criteria when promoting his followers (see link), who was driving home to his wife and children from a gay bar extremely drunk, in a speed more than double of what is allowed, really deserve a funeral worth of a king?

It is a pity that I am sometimes forced to be ashamed of being a citizen of this great country.

do we believe everything the media says analein? Come on now, lets give Herr Haider a bit more credit as we never got the honor of meeting him PERSONALLY!

In Austria, we did not need media to know what is going on. Some circles are very small. And sometimes, things are just too obvious (please look at this interview http://www.krone.tv/krone/S25/object_id__118565/kmwebtv/index.html )
I have unfortunately nothing to give this man credit for. But maybe you do? I would be happy if you could do this here.

I also received a comment, per mail as the person did not want to do it here, that it was ridicilous to use a link to a German site. Well yes, because Austrian media iskeeping quiet about what was really going on. Finally, Misik (kind of) spoke up: http://derstandard.at/?url=/?id=1224255925161

and besides that, it is still ridiculous how someone like him who died under these remarkable circumstances is celebrated like the pope or jesus himself. not to forget all the idiots who again blame the jews to have killed him after already having caused the breakdown of the financial markets. it is disgusting.

as my knowledge of politics is very minimal i cant say much. As far as the media goes and following all that shit they write, no matter WHERE they write it, i DONT. Because the facts are plain and simple, the man is dead, no need to make him a marter (and lets face it: good and/or bad press does that to a person like this)
Haider as a human, i think is very sympathetic and its a shame to have lost a man with such charisma. PERIOD.
