I feel very frustrated today. I found out I will receive 60€ for an article in a very respectful magazine. If I wrote an article about handbags or about Britney fucking her body guard for a gossip magazine, I could earn four times as much.
I am organising a round table about sexual harassment together Croatian government’s office for equality of sexes and I will probably not get paid at all. If I organised a swingers party with loads of drugs, I am sure I could earn a lot.
For writing a book, I get less then half of a middle management’s monthly pay. Today, you can only be well off if you sell people stuff they don’t need and that turn them dumber then they are. This is the beginning of the end of a civilisation.

yesterday i saw a documentation about a whorehouse where one woman stated while she is actually a scientist she became a prostitute in order to being able to afford her studies. how about that? funny side note: they all said they were much better treated by their customers than by any other man they were with on private terms before. it’s a mad mad world.
Welcome to earth.
The more short-term the process, the higher the risk, the higher the return. And the more short-lived are your earnings, and the deeper the fall afterward.
Its the same with financial investments (US treasuries or Vietnamese investment funds), with jobs (Textile industries or Hedge funds manager), sports (golf or soccer?), writing (Günther Grass or Bild/Blick).
Luckily not all people like the short-lived consumption and not all people like to work in short-lived industries. See what happened to the financial industry now. They all thought money is growing on trees. And now they went from Lamborghini-driver to social welfare recipient.
…I would say it depends on how much patience you have…
Will I live like a worm just to be able to live well when I get old?
Or will I be conservative to mask my fears?
Maybe we simplify too much, maybe we see only the extremes.
That’s so far away from life.
And money does grow on trees
