Last October, I wrote a story for Gloria Glam about the trend and history of food trucks in Los Angeles. It was interesting to learn that food trucks became really popular after the financial crisis in 2008, when chefs and investors were looking for easy start-ups, and hungry people for good but affordable food. Now you can get the best tacos, bagels, pizzas, ice cream sandwiches out of a truck. But even more fascinating was learning that the prince of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy has his food truck called in Venice (Beach, California) called "Prince of Venice" (BTW, a winner for the cheesiest name in gastronomy - and further). How would you like your pasta served by a real prince out of a truck on Abbot Kinney?
